Senior NodeJS Developer
We are looking for talented Senior NodeJS to join our team.
Product
The most visited digital platform and subscribed newspaper websites in Canada. It provides reach and responsive user experience in desktop, mobile or native mobile execution environments, including Google Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) format as well.
Company has cross-functional teams that work across different units. The digital team is about 60 people strong consisting of Product Managers, Designers, Developers, Quality Assurance, Delivery Managers and leadership roles.
Required skills
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Experience with Node.js
- Experience with GraphQL
- Extensive hands-on experience with server-side rendering and secure server-to-server communication with 3rd party APIs
- Proven experience in cloud computing and AWS (Lambda, AppSync, API Gateway), serverless architecture
- Level of English: Upper-Intermediate
As a plus
- Experience with React
- Knowledge of software design patterns
- Proficient understanding of Git
Responsibilities
- Ability to create clean, well-documented and efficient code
- Influence technical decisions and improve development processes and infrastructure
- Design, develop, and implement solutions leveraging Node.js
- Maintain and enhance large scale API system
- Participation in daily stand-ups and grooming with client’s team
- Collaborate with the client (Canada) and other team members and stakeholders on the project
